On February 10, China Minmetals held a special training program for its “100-Day Integration and Renewal Action” in Golmud, Qinghai. Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhu Kebing, Party Group Member and Senior Vice President of China Minmetals, chaired the ceremony.

Chen Dexin, on behalf of the Party Group of China Minmetals, first extended a warm welcome to the employees of Salt Lake Industry and Huixin Company for joining the China Minmetals family. He then shared insights on why China Salt Lake was established, why it was jointly founded by China Minmetals and Qinghai Province, and discussed the future direction of China Salt Lake and its development strategies. 

Chen Dexin pointed out that the formation of China Salt Lake was an important measure to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on accelerating the construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base. It was both a political responsibility that leaders of SOE must shoulder and an honorable mission that must be accomplished. China Minmetals, Salt Lake Industry, and Huixin Company shared a common genetic bond and a spirit of hard work. They were all driven by the mission of ensuring national resource supply, with a strong desire to strengthen, optimize, and expend their industries. Undergoing reform and transformation, they rose stronger from challenges, and now, in this new era, they must shoulder even greater responsibilities. The joint creation of China Salt Lake was not only a practical necessity but also a historical inevitability.

Chen Dexin emphasized that China Salt Lake’s highest mission was to serve the national strategy and safeguard national interests. It must integrate and leverage the advantages of the entire industry chain to lead and drive the development of a world-class salt lake industry base. The company should fully utilize its role in technological innovation, industrial control, and safety support, setting an example by advancing technological self-reliance in the salt lake industry, building a modernized salt lake industrial system, and developing new quality productive forces. China Salt Lake should truly become the “ballast stone” in national food security, a stabilizer for the new energy industry, and a driving force in the production of high-end light metal materials. It is essential to accelerate the promotion of cultural integration and management alignment, facilitate orderly exchanges of personnel, deepen the “China Minmetals Family ” philosophy, and jointly build a “China Minmetals Community of a Shared Future.”

For this training, Chen Dexin required the participants to focus their attention and engage in in-depth learning, connect theory to practice, emphasize practical results, adhere to discipline, and demonstrate a strong learning attitude. He urged them to quickly familiarize themselves with the overall situation of China Minmetals and be well-prepared for comprehensive alignment with various tasks.

Around 200 participants attended the opening ceremony, including non-leadership executives,  heads from headquarter departments, as well as the leadership teams and mid-level managers from QingHai Salt Lake Industry Co.,Ltd. and Huixin Co. The training program would be conducted in phases, with relevant departments from China Minmetals delivering the courses.
