Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Song Xin. He said that as a central state-owned enterprise with metals and minerals as its core business, China Minmetals was committed to the original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry." The company owns 9 listed subsidiaries and operates 39 mines both domestically and internationally. Its business covers a wide range of sectors, including metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, high-tech industry, trade & logistics, salt lake resource development, and finance. With operations spanning over 60 countries and regions worldwide, the company is on a steady path to becoming a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. Since both companies, as central state-owned enterprises, have highly complementary and aligned businesses, a vast potential exists for collaboration. Chen hoped that the two sides would leverage each other's strengths, and strengthen communication, particularly in areas like carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, new energy, green mine, sewage treatment, scientific research, engineering construction, and financial investment, so as to deepen cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win development.

Song Xin introduced the development history and business layout of CECEP. He said that after years of development, CECEP's main business now spanned energy conservation, environmental protection, new energy, new materials, and big health, forming unique advantages in areas like solid waste treatment, water pollution control, air pollution control, soil remediation, clean energy development & utilization, health industries, and energy conservation and carbon reduction. He also expressed a hope that, based on their past friendly cooperation, the two sides would strengthen communication at all levels, deepen and expand cooperation in relevant fields, and work together to create a new chapter in their high-quality development and strategic partnership.

Other participants included relevant leaders from CECEP, as well as leaders of China Minmetals' head offices and directly-managed enterprises.
